10 Dregea Pods
These versatile pods are nature's survival spoons! Such a cool complimet to your tans!
The Dregea Pod boasts a unique scoop-like shape, reminiscent of pods and fruits often found in tropical streams. These pods serve as a valuable addition to aquatic environments, offering foraging and shelter opportunities for a variety of fish species.
Regarding their dimensions, Dregea Pods exhibit variability, with lengths ranging from approximately 2.25 to 3.25 inches and widths spanning 1.25 to 1.5 inches at their widest point. Derived from the Dregea volubillis plant, they feature a distinctively striated, nut-like outer shell and a smooth, woody interior, akin to halved miniature gourds. When thoughtfully positioned on the substrate, these pods effectively replicate the ambiance of a tropical stream. Shrimp, in particular, have a penchant for grazing on them, benefiting from the biofilms they harbor and the soft interior as the pods naturally break down over time.
