Birch cones are an excellent alternative to alder cones. Unlike alder cones, birch cones cause minimal staining in the water, making them ideal if you prefer clear water.

These cones are perfect for shrimp, fish, and even reptiles! They provide shrimp with extra grazing surfaces and decompose into essential organic matter, serving as a valuable food source.

Start with 5-7 per 10 gallons initially – adjust as needed
